    263 XHD Transfer Case

Posted by Trevor on Mar 25th 2022

I have done countless hours of research for almost two years, hesitant to buy and spend big money on a product that I can't check and hold first. I came across Mark's videos on YouTube via Truck Master and Rust Belt Mechanic. I looked at many different big names web sites and kept coming back to Kodiak Truck, based on videos and testimonials I came across. The final deciding factor was when I called the Kodiak Truck and spoke with Mark (owner) not a sales man, not an outsourced call center, but the owner himself. He answered the questions I had, which was determining the yoke size and exact differences between the 263xhd and 263 hd for my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with the LB7 engine. Mark reassured me that they send transfer cases across the US on a daily basis and that it would make it to my house quickly. I place my order and within a few minutes I had a purchase confirmation, and within a day I had a shipping tag and tracking number from UPS. It only took a week from the time I placed my order until the time I had the transfer case in my hands in Arkansas. The packaging was superb, everything was in a styrofoam formed box that had perfect cutouts for the u-joint for the slip yoke and the transfer case. I made sure to keep the box so I could return my old transfer case and get my core charge back. Return shipping was already included from my original order, which means I didn't have to pay any money to return my old transfer case and get my core charge back, which made everything very easy especially since there was already a return printout slip for you UPS. Removal and installation of the transfer case was not very difficult, just time consuming but you can do it by yourself in a weekend if you have the right tools. I am not a professional mechanic and was able to complete the entire job with minimal tools and knowledge. I would recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to remove and install a GMC/Chevy transfer case as well as how to remove and install the front and rear drive shafts, and if you're not familiar with replacing u-joints, there are plenty of good videos on that as well. After I got the transfer case installed and filled it with two and a half quarts of 5W-30 full synthetic motor oil, I took my truck for a test drive. For the first time in almost 2 years my four low and four high finally engaged and we're working properly. I brought the truck back home and checked for leaks and made sure all of the bolts were still at the proper torque and checked the fill level for the transfer case the transfer case. I am truly amazed and gratified that I was able to do this after putting it off for so long. I would definitely recommend Kodiak trucks for anybody who needs a transfer case, they are truly the masters of their field and deliver a superb product. I hope this helps anybody who is on the fence with which brand to go with, they have my business from here on out.

    263xhd

I unfortunately found out I had 4wd issue on the first snow of the season. The infamous pump rub had gotten me. After some internet research and have been following Kodiak and RDS on YouTube for a few years, I finally could get the best transfer case on the market. It came packaged very well. Was blow away by the appearance and performance of this transfer case. Glad I made the right decision. Top notch quality and American made components has the bald eagles soaring. I know I will be using Kodiak truck again if ever need be. Wish I could have gotten a sticker so I can proudly show who’s components I have in my rig, but that’s not the reason I went with the best either, Keep up the kick ass work! Thank Mark and the crew for all that you do.

    2500HD Duramax Transfer case 263XHD

Impressed with Kodiaks operation. Within two hours of order received a shipping number. Transfer case is installed and shifts beautifully. I ordered the nickel plated yoke upgrade and was pleased to see a sealed spicer u-joint was included in the box. We use 4wd during winter months here in mountains when roads are icy and snow covered. Having a solid rig could mean life or death. Never spend money without doing research, and Kodiak is the best on the market

    NP263XHD

Posted by Brian Anderson on Dec 16th 2020

Purchased a NP263XHD Transfer Case for 2007 Classic Duramax. They answered all my questions prior to purchase, spending 2k for something almost 2k miles away is nerve racking. T-Case showed up in less then a week from Wisconsin to Nevada. T-case was well boxed, clean, and ready for install. Return tag for core was included in purchase. Only have about 20 miles on the t-case so far but I feel very confident in my purchase! Thank you Kodiak Truck for all your knowledge and help in getting my Duramax back on the road!
